I have been thinking about it a lot recently. It all started when my grandmother, who is eighty-five years old now, was invited to a presentation. It was all organised by a company who sold bedding sets made of natural fabrics such as organic cotton and wool. Grandma returned from the meeting with a nice and comfortable cashmere wool duvet. I asked her if she really needed anything like that. After all, she had three duvets in her wardrobe, and she was constantly using the just one. But she repeated one thing over and over again. ‘Wool is good for people with arthritis", she said. Well, it may be true, but Grandma can be really naive sometimes, and I wound"s be surprised at all if she believed that the cashmere wool duvet could actually treat her out of arthritis. I tried to explain that it reduces the pain and keeps the joints at a stable temperature so that the pain doesn"t come back so often, but she wouldn"t listen to me. She got rid of all her old duvets and blankets and announced that she was going to use the cashmere wool duvet and other wool bedding from that time on. I must say that it helps her, but doesn"t it give her a false feeling of being healthy? Well, it doesn"t really matter, if she feels all right.
